The tango we love is above all one of fellowship, pleasure and  imagination. A tango that allows us to experience unique and authentic moments, and enjoy each minute together.

Dynamic and interactive, our classes are a space for discovery and improvement, in which we encourage our students to surpass themselves and develop their own dance through pleasure and humour.

Skilled in various artistic disciplines (drama, music, ballet...), we approach tango as a whole and join together technique, steps and musicality in a rich and comprehensive method.

We have regular classes in Lyon, Dijon and Lausanne where we teach all levels, from beginner to advanced. We are also invited to many European events to perform and teach private as well as group lessons.

Our last cycle is devoted to MUSICALITY, that is one of tango's hardest components, but also the one that gives it most meaning. While some of our seminars focus on general ideas, exploring different types of tango and ways of interpreting the music, others turn to a specific orchestra, such as Pugliese, D'Arienzo, Piazzolla etc. The class starts with an introduction to the man and his music, then turns into a debate in which we encourage the students to express the way they hear and understand the music ; after developing some ideas about interpretation, we always conclude the class by putting everything into practice and dancing.

The workshops we offer are classified into 3 different cycles: Essentials, X-Treme and Musicality. The first one, called THE ESSENTIALS, relates to the basic technique required to perform most movements; from the embrace to giros, from connection to improvisation, we explore those topics in depth in order to help our students improve and make the most of their dance.

Our second cycle is called TANGO X-TREME, and not without irony. In this series of workshops we teach some of the most of tango’s emblematic figures - voleos, ganchos, colgadas, calesitas, etc. - and give our students the primary tools to understand and include them in their dance. This entails some serious technical work, that we like to balance with some playful exercises to also focus on the fun that these figures can bring into the class... and into the dance.

Since 2016, T&RM have been teaching regular classes in France and Switzerland (Lyon, Dijon, Clermont-Ferrand, Lausanne). They have also taught and performed throughout Europe at various events such as Tango Cazino in Cluj (Romania), Embrace Festival in Berlin (Germany), El Sabor de Hungria in Budapest (Hungary), Maldito Festival in Gothenburg (Sweden), Lyon loves tango Festival (France), Stuttgart international tango Week-end (Germany), as well as in Paris, Hamburg, Stockholm, Lausanne, Orléans, Tours, Montpellier...

Tania is a dancer and translator. Tango crossed her path in early 2012 during a semester of independent studies in Buenos Aires. It came as a rediscovery of a life-long passion ; as she studied tap, capoeira and classical ballet through the Royal Academy of Dancing program for over ten years. Since 2012 she has embarked on a journey of self-improvement and worked with a number of established maestros including Horacio Godoy, Moira Castellano, Carlitos Espinoza, Corina Herrera, Ruben & Sabrina Véliz, Ariadna Naveira & Fernando Sánchez and many more.

René-Marie was born into theatre, in a family of actors, theatre directors, musicians, painters, dancers… His youth resonated with the live arts: drama, music and dance. His different artistic experiences and his work as a theater director led him to travel the world and it is in Berlin that he discovered the Argentine tango, notably with Matias Facio and Ismael Ludman. He has since developed his dance concept with maestros such as Corina Herrera, Horacio Godoy,  Moira Castellano, Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne, Ruben & Sabrina Veliz, Ariadna Naveira & Fernando Sanchez, Carlitos Espinoza & Noelia Hurtado...
